Bradykinin
Bradykinin is a 9-amino acid peptide, the amino acid sequence is Arg-Pro-Pro-Gly-Phe-Ser-Pro-Phe-Arg (RPPGFSPFR). It can promote inflammation and cause arterioles to dilate. Bradykinin is a physiologically and pharmacologically active peptide of kinin group proteins.
The kinin-kallikrein system create bardykinin through proteolytic cleavage of kininogen precursor, high-molecular-weight kininogen(HMWK). In addition, ACE inhibitors also can prevent ACE(angiotensin-converting enzyme) from degrading bradykinin.
