CRAMP
Cathelin-related antimicrobial peptide (CRAMP) is a class of polypeptides in lysosomes of PMNs(polymorphonuclear leukocytes). CEAMPs are the components of innate immunity, they can inhibit the growth of gram-negative bacteria effectively.
CRAMPs play against microbial attack in host defense mechanism. They are effective antibiotics against gram-negative bacteria, and play critical roles in blocking the onset of inflammation, and wound repair.
