Kyotorphin
Kyotorphin is a neuroactive dipeptide, it has the role of pain regulation in the brain. Kyotorphin is isolated firstly from bovine brain, it has analgesic activity similar to morphine- (or endorphin-).
Kyotorphin has the analgesic effect, but it doesn’t interact with the opioid receptors. Whereas, it acts to release met-enkephalin and stabilize it from degradation.
