MIF-I
Melanocyte-Stimulating Hormone-Release Inhibiting Factor is also known as Melanocyte-inhibiting factor, Melanostatin, MSH release–inhibiting hormone or MIF-1. It is an endogenous peptide fragment from hormone oxytocin, but has different actions in the body.
MIF-1 has multiple effects:
- Block the effects of opioid receptor activation
- Act as the positive allosteric modulator of the D2 and D4 dopamine receptor subtypes
- Inhibit other neuropeptide release
- Potentiate melatonin activity
Notice: All peptides are only for research purposes, Not for clinical use.
